Ronaldo scores 977th career goal as Al Nassr cruise to 4-0 win over Al Riyadh
Cristiano Ronaldo marked his return to action with a goal as Al Nassr recorded a convincing 4-0 victory over Al Riyadh on Friday.
The Portugal captain started the match on the bench before being introduced in the second half, as Al Nassr continued to control proceedings.
Al Amri put Al Nassr ahead in the 18th minute, giving the visitors a one-goal advantage going into the break.
Al Nassr doubled their lead just after the restart when Angelo found the net in the 46th minute.
Joao Felix added a third in the 58th minute, putting Al Nassr firmly in control of the encounter.
Ronaldo then rounded off the scoring in the 83rd minute after converting a well-created opportunity from Yahya.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the strike took Ronaldo’s career tally to 977 goals.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had missed Al Nassr’s starting line-up in their previous match and watched from the stands as the club defeated Al Fateh.
His return and immediate goalscoring contribution provide another boost for Al Nassr as they continue their campaign in Saudi Arabia.
