Ronaldo to captain Al-Nassr against PSG today

Cristiano Ronaldo will captain the all-star Saudi league side that will face Lionel Messi’s PSG in a friendly today.

Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to make his debut for AlNassr due to a two-match ban he received while playing for Manchester United. He received the match ban due to knocking a phone off out of the hand of a young fan last season. Due to FIFA rules, this ban carried over to his new club.

Lionel Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain side are on a mid-season tour of Saudi Arabia this month as the team looks to get fit again during the winter break.

They will face a Saudi Arabia All-Star side on Thursday and Ronaldo will captain the side, despite only just arriving in the country.

The Portuguese man’s name is heavy in the sight of the Arabians, it shows that Saudi Arabia want to position the player as the face of the league.

This would be the first time in two years Ronaldo and Lionel Messi would be sharing the same pitch when Juventus won against Barcelona in the Camp Nou 3-0.

It would be an exiting match out between both superstars as millions would be willing to watch their “Goat” share the same pitch again on Thursday night by 9:00pm prime time.
