Antoine Semenyo netted the solitary goal as Bournemouth, playing with 10 men following Milos Kerkez’s dismissal, defeated Wolves at Molineux, propelling them into the top half of the Premier League table.

Semenyo marked his return to the starting lineup with the opening goal, bringing his tally to eight for the season as he slotted in from close range after Wolves failed to clear the ball.

This was a deserved lead for the visitors, who had approached the game with a positive mindset from the start.

Bournemouth created numerous scoring opportunities, with top scorer Dominic Solanke, Alex Scott, Kerkez, and Justin Kluivert all testing the home keeper, Jose Sa, who performed admirably under constant pressure.

Despite Bournemouth’s dominance, their inability to convert chances nearly cost them when Hwang Hee-chan appeared to equalize in the second half. However, his goal was disallowed after a VAR review showed a foul in the build-up, as Wolves’ substitute Matheus Cunha had caught Kluivert in the face with a swinging arm just before Nelson Semedo delivered the cross for Hwang.

Following this incident, the game resumed its original pattern, with Bournemouth pressing forward but failing to find the net. Their task became even more challenging when Hungary left-back Kerkez was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Matt Doherty, reducing Bournemouth to 10 men for the final 10 minutes of regulation time.

Despite the late pressure from Wolves, Andoni Iraola’s side held on for the win, which sees them move up to 10th place, two points behind eighth-placed West Ham, while Wolves drop to 12th in the table.
