Southampton have secured agreements to sign Brazilian players Welington and Juan once their contracts with Sao Paulo end.
Both players have finalized personal terms and signed pre-contracts, with their moves to St Mary’s scheduled for January.

Left-back Welington, 23, has made 150 appearances for Sao Paulo and was part of the teams that won the 2023 Copa do Brasil and the 2024 Supercopa do Brasil. He has also represented Brazil at the under-23 level.
Forward Juan, 22, has scored eight goals in 80 appearances for Sao Paulo and has played for Brazil’s Under-19 team.
Southampton, who earned promotion through the play-offs, will start their Premier League season with a match at Newcastle on Saturday, August 17.
