Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa slashes fuel price at own filling station

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has won the hearts of many Nigerians after he announced a reduction in the price of petrol in his own filling station, MYCA7 in Kano.

Ahmed Musa is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward and left winger for Turkish Süper Lig club Sivasspor and the Nigeria national team.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced an increase of the petrol pump price to N617 per litre.

While Nigerians have continued to lament over the hardship brought upon the masses following the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu and subsequently the hike in pump price across Nigeria.

However, the professional footballer is providing a succour, he made the announcement on his verified twitter page sparking excitement among Nigerians.

One Twitter user, Scala @lakaas123, excitedly enquired How manage Alhaji? N580 in Kano when not in Lagos? Are you whining us?” to which Musa replies, “That is what me I decide to sell my own ?‍♂️.”

Many motorists commended the gesture of Ahmed Musa over his love extended to the teeming masses of the state.

Those who bought fuel at Musa’s filing station described the gesture as a welcome development.

The price of fuel was reduce by the footballer to provide succour to vehicle owners in the state and people were extremely happy for his noble gesture.

They however, called on other people that have filing stations to emulate Musa’s gesture.

According to reports, the football start purchased the filling station in 2018.

Musa also owns schools, a sports and fitness centre – which also features all-weather football pitches – in the northern region of Nigeria.
