Morocco, ranked 14th globally, continues to hold the title of the top-ranked team in Africa, solidified by their historic semi-final performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Senegal’s Teranga Lions closely follow, securing the 19th spot globally.
Egypt, led by Mo Salah, holds the 36th position globally, with Sebastien Haller’s Ivory Coast just behind at 38th, placing them third and fourth in Africa, respectively.
Despite the slight drop in global rankings, Nigeria maintains its place in the top five in Africa.
The rest of Africa’s top ten includes Tunisia (41st), Algeria (46th), Cameroon (51st), Mali (53rd), and South Africa (57th).
On the world stage, EURO 2024 champions Spain have risen from eighth to third place, reflecting their recent tournament success. England, the runners-up, have also improved their ranking, moving up to fourth.
Argentina retains its top position in the rankings after securing the 2024 Copa America trophy, adding to their 2022 FIFA World Cup victory, while France remains steadfast in second place.
