Taiwo Ogunbanwo of Team Ogun claimed the gold medal in the men’s 10m air rifle event at the 22nd National Sports Festival held in Ogun State.
Ogunbanwo secured victory with a score of 225.4 points after 24 shots in 12 rounds, surpassing Delta State’s Okposo Esugo, Nigeria’s top-ranked shooter, who scored 223.5 points to take silver. Esugo had dominated the category for the past 15 years.
