Teenager Moore scores winner for Tottenham in Tokyo

Teenager Mikey Moore netted a decisive late goal as Tottenham edged out Japanese champions Vissel Kobe 3-2 in a pre-season friendly in Tokyo.

The 16-year-old winger delivered an 88th-minute close-range shot to secure the win for Ange Postecoglou’s team.

Son Heung-min put Tottenham ahead in the second half, but Vissel Kobe equalized just after the hour mark when Jean Patric scored past Brandon Austin.

Earlier, Pedro Porro equalized for Tottenham by finishing off a clever backheel from Dejan Kulusevski, which had previously neutralized Yuya Osako’s opening goal for Vissel Kobe.

Spurs will continue their pre-season campaign against the K League All-Stars on Wednesday, moving to captain Son’s home country of South Korea.

They will then play Bayern Munich, who will be without former Spurs forward Harry Kane, on August 3 in Seoul.
