The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup game between Spain and England ended 1-0, making the Spanish team the winner from the 29th minute. 23-year-old Olga Carmona’s left-footed made the Spanish team hold the world cup title. 

Spain and England wrote their names in the history books by reaching the Women’s World Cup final for the first time.

Spain defeated Sweden 2-1 in the semifinals, while England beat Australia 3-1.

Both host countries, Australia and New Zealand, were eliminated in the semifinals and group stages, respectively.

New Zealand became the first host of the Women’s World Cup to be eliminated in the group stage.

Spain’s victory in the Women’s World Cup final completed a historic treble, as they had also won the U-17 (2018, 2022), U-20 (2022) and National Team (2023).
