Tottenham Hotspur is close to finalizing the signing of Slavia Prague goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky in a deal reportedly valued at approximately £12.5 million.
The 21-year-old is expected to bolster Spurs’ goalkeeping options following the loss of first-choice keeper Guglielmo Vicario to a fractured ankle in November.
Sources familiar with the negotiations indicate that an agreement has been reached for the Czech Republic Under-21 international, though neither Tottenham nor Slavia Prague has officially confirmed the transfer.
Kinsky is anticipated to complete his medical and finalize paperwork over the weekend, paving the way for a permanent move to north London.
This season, Kinsky has made 29 appearances for Slavia Prague, recording an impressive 14 clean sheets.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, working alongside technical director Johan Lange, is actively pursuing new signings amid an ongoing injury and illness crisis within the squad.
The team faced additional setbacks ahead of Saturday’s home match against Newcastle, with eight players unavailable, including second-choice goalkeeper Fraser Forster, while Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended.
As a result, academy goalkeeper Brandon Austin, 25, made his senior debut.
