Tottenham Hotspur has exercised an option to extend Son Heung-min’s contract by an additional year, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2026.

The 32-year-old forward, who joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, has netted 169 goals in 431 appearances for the club.

In the Premier League, the South Korean international boasts an impressive record of 125 goals and 68 assists in 320 matches.

Son was a key figure in Tottenham’s journey to their first Champions League final in 2019 and contributed to the team’s fifth-place finish in the league last season.

Currently, Tottenham sits 12th in the Premier League standings. Son has scored five goals and provided six assists in 17 league games this season.

The club announced the contract extension ahead of the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool on Wednesday.
