Manchester City 3-0 Young Boys

Manchester City qualified for the UEFA Champions League knockout stages with a 3-0 win over Young Boys on Tuesday evening.

Erling Haaland was passed fit to start and he made the most of chance by opening the scoring for the Citizens from the penalty spot.

Phil Foden doubled the champions’ lead on the stroke of halftime, before Haaland completed his brace six minutes after the break.

The Citizens remain perfect in the group stages with four wins from four matches.

Red Star Belgrade 1-2 RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig also booked their place on the round of 16 after defeating Red Star Belgrade 2-1

The visitors took an early lead courtesy of a neat finish from the highly-rated Xavi Simmons after just eight minutes, before Loïs Openda doubled the lead in the 77th minute.

Red Star were given some hope via an own goal from Benjamin Henrichs, but the Bundesliga side enough to hold on for the win and a spot in the knockout round.

Group E

Atletico Madrid 6-0 Celtic

Atletico Madrid moved top of the group after thrashing Scottish champions Celtic in the Spanish capital.

The hosts got off to the perfect start when France international Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring after just six minutes, before Alvaro Morata doubled the lead on the stroke of halftime.

Celtic also had Daizen Maeda sent off in the first half.

Griezmann completed his brace on the hour mark, before Samuel Lino got his name on the score-sheet with a sensational strike from the left side of the box.

Morata also finished the encounter with two goals to his name, while Saul rounded off the scoring in the final six minutes.

Lazio 1-0 Feyenoord 

Lazio got back to winning ways after defeating Dutch champions Feyenoord 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Ciro Immobile got the only goal of the game just before the halftime break, sending the Serie A side to second spot in the group.

Group F

AC Milan 2-1 Paris Saint-Germain 

The ‘Group of Death’ remains wide open after AC Milan defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at the San Siro.

The visitors found the breakthrough on nine minuets when Milan Skriniar found the back of the net in the box after Milan failed to clear.

Milan were only behind for three minutes until Rafael Leao levelled matters with acrobatic effort from close range.

The Serie A giants completed the turnaround five minutes after the break through Olivier Giroud’s header, which proved to be the winning goal.

Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Newcastle United

Borussia Dortmund secured back-to-back wins over Newcastle United with a 2-0 triumph at Signal Iduna Park.

Niclas Füllkrug opened the scoring for the Bundesliga giants on 26 minutes, before Julian Brandt sealed the win in the 79th minute.

Dortmund sit top of Group F followed by PSG, Milan and Newcastle with two games left.

Group H

Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0 Barcelona

Barcelona will have wait another week to secure qualification to the round of 16 after losing 1-0 to Shakhtar Donetsk.

Xavi Hernandez’s charges only needed a point to book their spot in the next round.

However, the Spanish champions could not get the job done after Danylo Sikan’s 40th minute strike handed the Ukrainian giants a 1-0 win.

FC Porto 2-0 Royal Antwerp

FC Porto boosted their hopes of qualifying for the last 16 with a 2-0 win over Royal Antwerp.

Evanilson gifted the Portuguese giants the lead from the penalty spot in the 32nd minutes, before veteran defender Pepe sealed the win in the 92nd minute.
