Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has described Victor Osimhen as an “elite striker” ahead of his team’s UEFA Champions League encounter with Galatasaray, according to Completesports.com.
City are set to welcome the Turkish champions to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
Osimhen has been in fine form in the Champions League this campaign, scoring six goals in five matches. The Nigerian forward has also found the net six times in 13 league appearances this season.
Guardiola acknowledged the strength and depth of the Galatasaray squad while speaking ahead of the fixture.
“We will try to win tomorrow. Galatasaray are leading the Turkish league and all their players are exceptional,” Guardiola said during a press conference.
“Victor Osimhen is a very elite striker. Osimhen has special players he can connect with.
“Sane is very fast, very agile… Ilkay Gündoğan, Mario Lemina. He has experienced players.”
