Valencia match postponed after flash floods in Spain

Valencia’s Copa del Rey match against Parla Escuela has been postponed due to severe flash floods in Spain.

At least 62 people have lost their lives following torrential rain, with Chiva, a town near Valencia, experiencing over a year’s worth of rainfall in just eight hours.

Valencia’s away match against the sixth-tier team in Parla, located 15 miles from Madrid, was initially scheduled for Wednesday but has now been rescheduled for November 6 at the same venue.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced it is “working intensively” with affected clubs and may rearrange additional fixtures set for Thursday.

Valencia is set to host La Liga champions Real Madrid at Mestalla Stadium on Saturday.
