Falconets head coach Moses Aduku has expressed confidence ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying second-leg encounter against Malawi.

Nigeria will face the Young Scorchers at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday, carrying a 2-0 advantage from the first leg played in Ikenne last weekend.

Aduku said the team is fully prepared and determined to secure qualification.

“We are here to play and to win. The players understand the importance of this match, and we are fully prepared mentally, tactically, and physically for the challenge ahead,” the coach said during a press conference on Friday.

The match is scheduled for 3pm Malawi time (2pm Nigeria time).

The Falconets defeated Rwanda and Senegal en route to the final qualifying round, overcoming the East Africans 5-0 on aggregate, while Senegal fell 3-1 on aggregate.

Nigeria has featured in every edition of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup since the competition began as an U-19 tournament in 2002.
