Newcastle’s Carabao Cup third-round match against AFC Wimbledon, originally set for Tuesday, has been postponed due to flooding at the League Two club’s stadium.
AFC Wimbledon reported that heavy overnight rainfall led to significant flooding of the River Wandle and nearby areas.
The game, which was scheduled for a 19:45 BST kickoff, will now be rescheduled.
AFC Wimbledon advanced to the third round after defeating Bromley and Premier League side Ipswich on penalties.
Newcastle, 2023 finalists, entered in the second round and also needed penalties to overcome Nottingham Forest.
