Yamal, Williams, others Spanish players make Euro 2024 team of tournament

UEFA has unveiled the Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament, featuring six players from Spain, including Rodri and Lamine Yamal.

Spain secured their fourth European Championship title on Sunday, with Mikel Oyarzabal’s late goal clinching a 2-1 victory over England in Berlin.

Luis de la Fuente’s squad won all seven of their matches, earning significant recognition in UEFA’s team of the tournament.

Rodri was honored as Player of the Tournament, while Yamal received the Young Player award. Dani Olmo, who secured the Golden Boot with two assists, joined them in the star XI. The trio are accompanied by Nico Williams, Marc Cucurella, and Fabian Ruiz.

From France, goalkeeper Mike Maignan and defender William Saliba were selected, alongside England’s Kyle Walker and his Manchester City teammate Manuel Akanji. Germany’s Jamal Musiala rounds out the team.
