Substitute Kenan Yildiz scored twice to help Juventus rally for a draw in an action-packed, eight-goal encounter against Inter Milan in Serie A.

Inter, with Piotr Zielinski converting two first-half penalties, led 4-2 early in the second half but couldn’t hold onto their advantage.

The result of the Derby d’Italia leaves Inter in second place, with Juventus just a point behind in third.

The match saw Danilo concede a penalty to Inter after fouling Marcus Thuram, allowing Zielinski to score down the middle.

Juventus equalized shortly after when Juan Cabal’s lofted pass found Weston McKennie, who set up Dusan Vlahovic for a smooth finish.

Timothy Weah then struck from close range, hooking in a Francisco Conceicao cross to put Juventus in front. Inter responded as Henrikh Mkhitaryan netted his first of the season with a low curler from Thuram’s pass.

Another penalty was awarded to Inter when Pierre Kalulu fouled Denzel Dumfries, with Zielinski placing it in the corner to secure a 3-2 lead at halftime.

Dumfries scored again in the box to give Inter a two-goal cushion, but Yildiz and Juventus fought back.

McKennie set up Yildiz’s first goal in the 71st minute, as the young Turkish forward shot through Dumfries’ legs.

Yildiz then connected with Conceicao’s cross, firing into the bottom corner to equalize.

Juventus goalkeeper Michele di Gregorio pulled off crucial saves to deny Nicolo Barella and Federico Dimarco, while Lautaro Martinez’s header from Dimarco’s cross went wide, leaving the match level at the final whistle.
