Nigerian actor and director Damola Olatunji has discussed his feelings over getting back together with his ex-wife Bukola Awoyemi.
Olatunji recently discussed the significance of putting their children’s happiness first and entrusting God with the decision to reconcile in an interview on the Talk to B podcast.
Olatunji agreed that relationships might be erratic, but if they are meant to be, they will persevere through difficulties.
He emphasised the value of personal fulfilment and pleasure, saying that everyone should put their best lives forward.
Olatunji also revealed that despite past differences, he and his ex have made an effort to spend quality time with their children, demonstrating their commitment to co-parenting and prioritizing their kids’ well-being.
He said:
“The best thing is to let the kids be happy at all times. I’m not going to say never because there are some things you don’t have power over so we just leave it all to God. Relationships are like butterflies, if you hold it too tight it will die, if you let it loose it might fly away but if it’s yours it will go around and come back to you. If it is the will of God so be it, if it’s not let everybody be happy at the same time. The most important thing is we all should live a fulfilled destiny”.
“Despite the fact that we’ve separated, if I see anything that will benefit her I will put a call through. We’ve had time to take the kids out afterward, it’s all about making the kids happy and that’s my priority for now, every other thing is secondary.”
