Afrobeats musician Ayra Starr has denounced the barbaric murder of Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student at FUNAAB, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

Ayomide Adeleye, Christianah’s acquaintance and a possible serial killer, is said to have slain her.

In a statement on her official X page, Ayra Starr denounced the act and demanded that the victim get justice quickly.

The artist stated that women should receive better safety and care, highlighting the urgent need to combat violence against them.

She wrote, “Stop killing us! Stop raping us! Women deserve better #JusticeForChristianah,’

Ayra Starr’s outcry follows revelations from an ongoing investigation which uncovered that Adeleye, who had been a close friend of Christianah, kidnapped, murdered and buried her body in his compound.

It has also come to light that Adeleye had previously been linked to the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and blood sister in separate incidents in 2018 and 2020.

However, the suspect who was arrested by men of Nigerian Army has been handed the Lagos Police Command for further investigation.
