Big Brother Naija reality star Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, often known as Doyin, discusses the sensitive topic of DNA testing in relationships.

She stressed that although requesting a DNA test could be unpleasant, it shouldn’t cause emotional responses.

Nigerians are debating the topic of paternity fraud in great detail. To avoid any doubts about parentage, many support making DNA testing mandatory at birth.

Doyin shared her viewpoint on her Instagram page in response to the argument. She believes that it is not unreasonable for partners to request for DNA tests.

She said that a guy shouldn’t automatically assume fatherhood if he choose to raise a child who may not be biologically his. Instead, he should make this choice consciously.

She emphasised that when considering such claims, one must use reason because paternity fraud is a common occurrence.

She wrote:

“It’s not a bad thing for your partner to request for DNA test. If he wants to take care of a child that isn’t his, let it be his decision to do that intentionally not because he thinks he’s the father. The rate of paternity fraud is too high for you to think emotionally if your partner asks for a DNA test. It’s a painful request but it’s understandable.”

In another story, Doyin opens up on why she will never date a celebrity.

She emphasized that throughout her life, she has gravitated towards dating men in the corporate world, and this preference has remained unchanged.

She attributed this inclination to her past experiences and the stability she finds in relationships outside of the limelight.

The reality TV star disclosed that she has been in a relationship with her current partner for approximately a decade.

Doyin expressed her desire to maintain privacy regarding her personal life and family.
