Hilda Baci celebrates first anniversary of Guinness World Record cookathon

Nigerian chef Hilda Baci is marking an anniversary of the victory a year after she broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

Recall that Lagos was the location of the incident. Hilda broke the record for the most hours worked, with the help of her staff of roughly 100 individuals.

Hilda Baci wrote a thank-you card to her encouraging group for sticking by her side during the challenging times of her endeavour.

She explained that the event took place from May 12 to May 17, 2023, and that the anniversary would last for five days.

The cook penned:

“On this day 1year ago we began the official attempt that made history. At about 5pm on the 12th of may I turned on the gas for the very first time only to be turned off on the 17th of may 5 days later so yes we have a 5 day long anniversary and I’m here for it.

I could not have done it firstly without my team the alpha team that was the first point of contact that helped my very big dream come true so naturally the first celebration point will be the Alpha team and heads of departments.

I mean it was such a big team of about a 100 people to put the experience of the year together and I’m thankful for them every single day.”
