Disc Jockey and Big Brother Naija Reality Show star Tolani Shobajo, also known as TolaniBaj, has taken back her contentious remarks regarding guys dancing in clubs.

She said that the song “Who Told You Bad Man Don’t Dance,” featuring Canadian rapper Drake, was inspired by her statement that guys shouldn’t dance in clubs. J Hus is a British rapper.

In a recent interview with Clout Radio, she made the assertion.

Men can dance, TolaniBaj clarified, but only “respectfully.” According to her:

“I am a DJ, people can dance. Everybody can dance. You guys are still owing me from the tweet [that men shouldn’t dance in clubs].

“I tweeted it years ago. Can I breathe? I even inspired J Hus’ song, ‘Who Told You Bad Man Don’t Dance.’ TBaj told y’all.

“Men can dance, they can legwork but respectfully. Because if you’ve a babe, you can’t be embarrassing her like that.”

Recall that in March, 2023, TolaniBaj hoped that men would cease dancing in clubs and instead choose to sit and act like big boys.

According to her, whenever she sees guys dancing in the club, she simply gets turned off. The former BBNaija housemate tweeted:

“I get turned off when a guy dances in the club. Like sit down and pretend to be a big boy.”

In April, following heavy criticism that trailed her tweet, TolaniBaj on the BTS Reality audiovisual podcast explained what she meant. She clarified:

“I feel like that tweet was misinterpreted. And that’s because I was the messenger. I feel like a lot of people understood what I meant but they chose to misunderstand me.

“If you are going to go to the club, I’m not saying you shouldn’t try to dance or be cool but why are you doing like this [dancing aggressively] and being the center of attraction?.”

“I would rather you sit down and admire your girl, the girl you came with let her dirty grind on you or something.”
