The well-known American actress Angelina Jolie has revealed why she has decided not to pursue a singing career.
Angelina Jolie recently explained her decision in an interview with Hollywood Reporter, saying that it stemmed from the severe criticism she had received from an ex-boyfriend, which made her doubt her vocal abilities.
She recounted that, despite having attended theatre school, she had assumed she was incapable of singing because of her ex-boyfriend’s disparaging remarks.
She admitted that this person’s viewpoint had a profound psychological effect on her and prompted her to give up singing.
“I don’t sing. I had somebody in my life who was not kind to me about singing. It was a relationship I was in. And so I just assumed I couldn’t really sing. I’d been to theatre school, so it was weird that it even had an effect on me. I just kind of adapted to this person’s opinion,” she said.
