English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran claims that if he had not pursued a career in music, he would still be a virgin.
The Grammy-winning British singer declared, “If I was not a musician, I would be a virgin,” in a recent video that he posted on Instagram, just before the camera turned to an Ivysaur engaged in a Pokemon battle.
In 2012, Sheeran’s connection with Scottish singer Nina Nesbitt became public knowledge. He wrote the songs “Nina” and “Photograph” with her as well.
Around the age of eleven, he started penning songs, and in 2011, he independently released the extended play titled “No. 5 Collaborations Project.” He has since taken home four Grammy Awards.
In a different story, Ed Sheeran shared his opinions about the idea that certain musicians are motivated just by passion and not by the desire to succeed in the music business.
During a recent episode of “Therapuss With Jake Shane,” Ed Sheeran categorically refuted these allegations, stating that all artists eventually want to be recognised and receive praise.
The Grammy-winning singer made it clear that musicians who claim they don’t care about becoming successful won’t release their music on the market or look to collaborate with record companies.
Despite assertions to the contrary, Ed Sheeran contended that musicians are driven by a desire for recognition and fortune.
In his words;
“I don’t believe any artist that says they don’t, otherwise, you wouldn’t release music because you’d be like, ‘If I don’t care what people think, then why would I even put it out?’ You’d just sort of make the music and be like, ‘Well, that’s made me feel good.’
“All artists, we want to be loved. That’s why we are on stage. And that’s why you sign to a record company, to go, ‘I would like people to hear the music that I’m making.’ I don’t really subscribe to this whole, like, not caring thing. That’s all a kind of ruse, because it sounds cool to say but every artist wants people to like their music.
“It really pisses me off when people are like, ‘Oh I don’t care how it does.’ I’m like, ‘F*cking shut up! You do! Everyone does.’ Anyone in the pop game definitely cares.”
