Professional dancer Korra Obidi has refuted rumours that she used $50,000 provided by her supporters for legal fees to pay for her Hawaii trip.
On Friday, Korra started a GoFundMe page to find a reputable attorney. She also mentioned that she wanted to challenge Justin Dean, her ex-husband,’s parental rights.
She started the GoFundMe page to reach her goal because, in her words, she would need money to hire a skilled attorney.
But on Sunday, the dancer announced during a live Facebook session that she was going to Hawaii for vacation after obtaining the necessary funds.
Fans of the actress expressed fury at her decision, accusing her of defrauding innocent people and claiming that the primary purpose of the GoFundMe was never to sue her ex-husband but rather to indulge in her opulent lifestyle.
However, Korra claimed that she had previously made travel arrangements before creating a GoFundMe account on Monday during a live session on her Instagram account.
She said:
“This trip wey I book, I don book am since. Nigerians, drink water, you will be alright. I never collected anything from GoFundMe and the money will be use for what it says it will be used for,”
Recall that,Ex-husband of Nigerian dancer and singer Korra Obidi, Justin Dean, recently caused a stir online with a post expressing disgust with his four-year-old daughter’s attitude.
In his article, Dean questioned whether his daughter’s engagement in the sexually provocative dancing motion known as “twerking” was acceptable for her age and expressed shock and concern about it.
He went on to criticise the idea of “women supporting women,” arguing that permitting such activity does not safeguard children’s innocence.
Undoubtedly, Korra Obidi, his ex-wife, is well-known for her provocative dance style, which frequently draws criticism from online users.
However, Dean’s anger at his daughter’s recent actions stems from the fact that he feels her mother is having an impact on the little child, which bothers him.
