Nollywood Actress Chinedu Bernard slumps, dies in Enugu church

Chinedu Bernard, a Nollywood actress, has been confirmed dead after collapsing in a church and being rushed to a hospital in Enugu.

The actress, who is best known for her role in ‘Big Mama’ Flick, was reportedly pronounced dead by doctors at Enugu State’s East Side Hospital.

According to reports, she collapsed while cleaning the Chapel of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Enugu’s Federal Housing Estate.

According to reports, one of the Reverend Fathers rushed her to the hospital with the assistance of some church members.

Reports identified the Reverend Father, who assisted in taking the late actress to the hospital as Rev Fr Uchendu Chukwuma. The actress was however declared dead by the doctors.

The cause of her death remains unknown as her remains have been deposited in the morgue.

Fondly referred to as ‘Choco,’ the late Bernard featured in movies such as The Big Mama’s Stick, Money Fever, The Mad, The Last Manhood, Mad Love amongst others.
