Oxlade raises alarm over colleagues boycotting him

Singer Ikuforiji Olaitan, also known as Oxlade, has claimed that he is currently being boycotted in the Nigerian music industry.

He claims that in addition to being blackmailed by some of his senior colleagues, he is being boycotted by some gatekeepers.

Oxlade went on to say that some of his coworkers are backbiting him because they are imitating his musical style. In a recent freestyle on Glitch Africa, the artist stated:

“Many boys don dey sound like me and still many boys don dey backbit me. Why me?

“Some gatekeepers don dey boycott me. Some OGs don dey blackmail me.”

Earlier in March, the singer revealed that he lost endorsement deals worth over N400 million after his sex tape got leaked in 2022.

Oxlade stated this on the latest episode of the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast, in which he disclosed that he was being blackmailed with the video before it got leaked.

According to him, when the sex tapes were released, so he felt relieved because he knew the blackmail and extortion had come to an end.

He however confessed that aside from the endorsement deals he lost, the sex tape scandal affected his family, especially his grandmother who he is very close to.
