Popular Nigerian rapper Dremo has warned Nigerians on social media about how their talent is being portrayed.
The rapper made it clear that while criticism is welcome, calling him “untalented” is not.
Dremo sent a tweet that attracted a lot of attention.
“Say anything about me, say I fell off, call me broke, call me eru or whatever names y’all come up with but don’t ever say I’m not talented, e dey body.”
His critics took this statement as a direct order, underscoring the delicate nature of his creative powers.
The rapper’s post provoked discussion among his fans, and one commenter, @zeekool3, said, “No evidence,” in response to the message with scepticism.
Dremo quickly dispelled the criticism, claiming that while there is no shortage of proof of his talent, people who do not actively listen to his music might not be able to see it.
Dremo responded to a netizen;
“Evidence choke, you don’t listen to my music so you no fit know,”
