Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz has shared his reservations about getting married.
During a recent episode of the Unpack podcast, the singer, who is 33 years old, expressed that he does not know what his dream married life as a celebrity would include.
Falz, who maintained that he is unmarried, added that he is debating whether to disclose or not to disclose his impending marriage.
“I am not married. I am 100% single. I do not know where you hear that rumour from, but it is wrong. Those people are peddling false information. I have been single for a while. Maybe I should just try it. I do not know the ideal relationship. Maybe that is one of the reasons why I have not bothered to try. When I say I am bothered, I do not know what the ideal set-up would look like.,” he said.
“Being an artiste, being in the public eye. Is it going to be public? Is it going to be like a coded p, or do you want to come out as a famous couple? I think these things are difficult to navigate. I think this is one of the biggest reasons why entertainers do not get to have healthy relationships like family life. It is tough. It will always come out one way or the other. I might do it and run it coded.”
Previously, the songwriter said he has not been in any romantic relationship with anyone since 2008 because he feels he is “not ready”.
Recall that, Falz revealed that he was once approached by a woman seeking to have his baby.
The vocalist of “Bop Daddy” claimed he turned down the offer because the woman was close to him and he couldn’t pretend he wasn’t the father when the child was born.
In the most recent episode of the “I Said What I Said” podcast, Falz related the story of how she assured him he wouldn’t have to worry about looking after the child.
The hitmaker of “Soft Work” stated:
“Someone has asked me to be a sperm donor before. She said, ‘Just donate sperm, you don’t need to worry about parenting.’
I said, ‘You are joking’. I refused. It is a bit of a joke, like I know who you are and I would just close my mind [pretend]?”
