The fast rising Nigerian artist Goodnews “Gnewzy” Emuemu’s mother has begged the kidnappers to release her son.
While returning home from a play, Gnewzy was kidnapped in Ughelli, Delta state, along Eklat Road.
The musician’s record company, Eric Many Records, verified the kidnapping and stated that his manager, Obas9ice, “narrowly escaped.”
The CEO of the record label, Dilly Umenyiora, was allegedly approached by the kidnappers via mail and demanded a $200,000 ransom.
In a now-viral video shared by Obas9ice, Gnewzy’s mum can be seen crying and appealing to his son’s abductors to free him.
Star Gnewzy is kidnapped in Delta by gunmen who demand a $200k ransom.
The singer is her only son, and he shouldn’t be hurt, the woman bemoaned.
