Skit maker Umar Bush appointed SA on entertainment to Tinubu’s SSA

The fast rising Nigerian comedian Umar Bush announced his appointment to Mohammed Abba Isa‘s position as special assistant on entertainment.

Isa is President Bola Tinubu’s senior special assistant on equal opportunities and special needs.

Bush, popularly known as “Angry Man,” posted a letter on social media on Monday that had the reference number SSAP/SNEO/24/VOL.1/464, announcing his appointment.

The senior special assistant’s consent for the president’s appointment on special needs and equal opportunities was expressed in a letter headed “Appointment as Special Assistant on Entertainment.”

The letter states that Bush’s duties as a special assistant on entertainment include overseeing media marketing, making sure the office maintains positive PR, and promoting entertainment projects.

“His appointment is set for a two-year term, effective July 10, 2024, with the possibility of renewal based on performance,” it added.

Bush also shared a video capturing the moment Isa congratulated him on his appointment. In another post, he expressed his gratitude for the new role.

“I’m very grateful to this golden opportunity sir.🙏 @hon.mohammed_abba_isa @capt_abber_g,” he wrote.

Isa also took to his Instastory to share a video wherein he lauded Bush, known for his humorous and often controversial content, on the appointment — which has begun to generate intense reactions online.

While some users questioned his qualifications and how he would manage the office’s mandate of special needs and equal opportunities, there were also concerns about why a senior special assistant requires an assistant.
