Stop criticizing BBNaija, fund your own shows – Woli Arole to Christians

Nigerian comedian Bayegun Oluwatoyin, also known as Woli Arole, has responded to Christians who regularly criticise Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), a well-liked reality show.

On Sunday, July 28, 2024, the much awaited ninth season of the show debuted, much to the chagrin of many.

Woli Arole urged Christians to cease denouncing the event and calling it immoral on Instagram.

He pointed out that there are plenty of Christian millionaires who could finance such programs and advised Christians to make their own Godly reality shows instead of whining.

Woli Arole emphasized that those who do not sponsor the show have no right to dictate how the housemates should behave. He said:

“Nobody should complain about BBNaija. Do your own Godly reality TV shows! If you don’t sponsor them, you can’t tell them how they should behave. There are Christian billionaires who can fund Godly TV shows. Period.”

In another story, Woli Arole revealed why, despite being a comic, churches continue to invite him to participate in their activities.

This was disclosed by Woli Arole during a Monday interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief programme.

The content creator talked about his great career and said that because he stays inside his comic bounds, he continues to receive invitations to churches.

He noted that religious people have issues with many comedians because they are not sensitive enough to avoid certain jokes.

“You can check all my content, I don’t blaspheme. Our faith is sacred. There are boundaries you must not cross because I feel all faiths are scared

“So, while I was active as a comedian, all I talked about was the positive vibes. There are things I must never say, there are some jokes you must not crack. And I think that is where faith people have issues with content creators,” he said.
