[VIDEO] Wizkid celebrates 34th birthday with family, friends

The Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Wizkid celebrated 34th birthday with his spouse and friends.

The musician’s birthday is July 16, 1990. To celebrate the ‘Made in Lagos’ hitmaker, a party with close pals was thrown at an undisclosed location.

In a now-viral video, the guests are seen singing “Happy Birthday” to Wizkid, who then erupts into laughter upon seeing his cake.

Celebrities who were present at the celebration included Tems, the Afrobeats artist, Naomi Campbell, the American model, and the singer’s manager, Jada Pollock.

In a different video, the attendees could all be seen toasting to Wizkid and enjoying their dinner.

Wizkid, whose real name is Ayo Balogun and who was born in the Lagos suburb of Ojuelegba, started recording music at the age of 11. He collaborated with a group called the Glorious Five (5), which he created with a few pals from church, to produce an album.

In 2009, Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) and Wizkid inked a record deal.

He became well-known after releasing the lead song from his first studio album, “Superstar,” in January 2010—”Holla at Your Boy” (2011).

Big Wiz is also one of Africa’s biggest music exports.

Fans and celebrities worldwide have taken to social media to celebrate Wizkid with warm wishes on his birthday.
