Why I don’t advice ladies to marry before age 28 – BBNaija Venita

Reality TV personality Venita Akpofure, during a candid discussion with fellow reality star Tacha, offered a sincere piece of advice cautioning against getting married at a young age.

Venita underscored the significance of relishing one’s youth and accumulating varied life experiences before entering into marriage. She cautioned women to steer clear of tying the knot, especially before reaching the age of 28.

The divorced mother of two said: “Don’t marry young o! Don’t go and do ‘I’m doing high school sweetheart. We die here.’ Just be young! Enjoy your life. When you’re tired, get married.”

Ms Akpofure also highlighted her position, particularly for her daughter, saying, “If my daughter approaches me, as long as she’s not, I swear to God, not up to 28, we can rock with it. Anything below 28, please no.”

The reality star highlighted the importance of individuals thoroughly understanding themselves before making a commitment to marriage. She acknowledged that although some people may exhibit maturity at a younger age, it remains crucial to explore diverse aspects of life to make well-informed decisions about marriage.

“Don’t get me wrong, there are people who are mature, oh. But you need to try different things in life, different experiences, to be sure of okay, I want to be stuck here. Because it’s handcuff, you’re there,” Venita explained.

Drawing from her personal experience, Venita offered perspectives on the difficulties of long-term commitment. She proposed that couples contemplate having separate yet interconnected rooms to preserve individuality and mitigate potential conflicts.
