Well-known media personality Laura Abebe, widely recognized as Moet Abebe, has revealed the reason behind her single status.
The 34-year-old presenter shared the reason during a podcast she co-hosts with reality TV star Tolani Baj.
The podcast – Bahd and Boujee, had Nollywolly actor, Etim Effiong, as a guest.
Moet has been making headlines lately. In June 2023, she opened up about enduring an “abusive” relationship with her ex-fiancé for about two and a half years.
In October 2023, the video jockey stated that she cannot date men residing on the mainland in Lagos.
“I feel like if I call you at 11 pm, you will probably give me some story like it is too late, there are police on the street, I cannot come,” she said, to back up her reason.
In 2021, she previously conveyed her indifference towards marriage, labeling it as a “fraud.”
Moet attributed her single status to the belief that “most men do not have sense.”
This response came about when Effiong, who had known her since he was single six years ago, inquired about why she was still single and on the market.
“You already know my reservations. I am tired of saying this every episode.”
“Your gender needs to do more. My issue with men is that they do not have sense.”
“How about men stop dipping their fingers in so many pots?”
“Because you are making me confused. That means I equally have options.”
“I am choosing to be single but even if I wanted to be in a relationship, the options are not so great,” she said.
