Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s Presidential candidate for the 2023 election, has rescheduled his visit to Abia State which was meant to be today (Tuesday).
Obi was originally scheduled to visit the region to support Chief Alex Otti, an LP candidate for governor.
Obi’s visit on Tuesday has been postponed, according to a statement from Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, Otti’s special adviser on media and publicity.
According to Ekeoma, the change was necessary since Obi has certain urgent obligations today in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
But he emphasized that Obi had promised that the visit would happen before the state’s governorship election.
“While we hope to communicate a new date to Ndi Abia, we sincerely regret any inconveniences which the postponement may have caused them,” he added.
