Infinix has officially launched the Zero Flip for the global market. As Infinix’s first-ever flip phone featuring a foldable screen, this release marks a major milestone for the company in the highly competitive smartphone landscape.

The glamours event was attended by special Dignitaries such as Neo Akpofure of Big Brother Naija, and Nollywood actor Stan Nze and wife, among others.

Infinix Zero Flip Specifications and Features

The Infinix Zero Flip boasts a 6.9-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 1400 nits. The display also offers 2160Hz PWM dimming, enhancing eye comfort during extended use.

On the outside, the device features a 3.64-inch AMOLED external display with a resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and 1100 nits of peak brightness. These specifications ensure a premium viewing experience whether the phone is open or closed. The Zero Flip measures 170.35 x 73.4 x 7.64mm when unfolded and 87.49 x 73.4 x 16.04mm when folded, weighing in at 195 grams.

 

Camera Capabilities

The front-facing camera of the Zero Flip is equipped with a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor that supports autofocus. On the rear, there’s a dual-camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 primary sensor with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps, making it a great option for vloggers and content creators. The device also includes specialized features like DV mode and GoPro mode for a more dynamic filming experience.

Performance and Battery

Powered by the Dimensity 8020 chipset, the Zero Flip comes with 8GB of RAM, plus an additional 8GB of virtual RAM for enhanced multitasking. It offers 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, providing ample space for apps, photos, and videos. The 4,720mAh battery supports 70W fast charging and 10W wired reverse charging, ensuring you can quickly recharge and stay powered throughout the day.

The Zero Flip runs on Android 14 with Infinix’s XOS 14.5 skin, and the company promises two major Android updates and three years of security patches. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the device’s audio is boosted by JBL dual speakers. The inclusion of an x-axis linear motor enhances haptic feedback for a more immersive experience. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB-C.

Pricing and Availability

The Infinix Zero Flip is priced at NGN 1,065,000 (~$645) in Nigeria for the 8GB+512GB variant. Globally, it will be available for $599 and comes in two color options: Rock Black and Blossom Glow.
