In November 2017, WhatsApp introduced a new feature that allowed users to delete a sent message within 7 minutes after a message has being sent.
While the feature was a welcome development, many users however, complained that the time duration in which sent messages can be deleted was too short.

In response to this, the new WhatsApp beta version 2.18.69 is extending the time duration from 7 minutes (420 seconds) to about 68 minutes, 16 seconds (4096 seconds – 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds).
The WhatsApp beta version 2.18.69 update also came with the ability for users to forward stickers to other chats in the 2.18.67 beta and also with a bug which causes the app to crash when a user tries to send GIFs.
