The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu arrived at New York ahead of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78).
Upon her arrival, she was welcomed by Prof. Tijjani Bande, Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
Senator Tinubu is scheduled to address various events during her participation, including the Nigeria Economic Trade Summit, a side meeting on Gender Actions for Peace by the Africa First Ladies Peace Mission, and engagements with the DUSUSU Foundation, among other high-level meetings.
While en route to New York, the First Lady made a short layover at Madeira International Airport in Portugal, during which she had a meeting with Nigeria’s Ambassador to Portugal, Alex Kefas.
