AGN bans photos, video recordings at Junior Pope’s funeral

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) prohibits unnecessary photos and videos from being taken during Junior Pope’s funeral.

He declared that only official photographers should be allowed to capture pictures and recordings at the funeral.

In a Tuesday, May 14, Instagram post, AGN president Emeka Rollas stated as much and added that the family must also accredit all journalists and bloggers.

He wrote in parts:

“Its a devastating and sorrowful period for the Actors Guild of Nigeria therefore we shall not indulge in any unnecessary picture or video recording that is not by the official photographers at the proceedings of final journey of our departed colleague. All Press/ Bloggers must be accredited by the family.

On Friday, May 17, the 43-year-old will be laid to rest in his rural home following a funeral service at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Ukehe. The actor’s burial will be promptly followed by burial.

On May 20, a mass of gratitude will be held at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Ukehe to conclude the funeral arrangements.
