The late singer Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, has made startling accusations against her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba.

Aloba allegedly said that Mohbad once wanted to dump their infant son Liam off the Third Mainland Bridge, according to Omowunmi, who made this claim in a recent appearance on WithChude.

The businesswoman also talked candidly about how the circumstance has affected her emotionally and psychologically.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was laid to rest the next day. His body was dug up by authorities for an autopsy on September 21, 2023.

Aloba had pledged that Mohbad would not be reburied until the DNA test to determine Liam’s paternity was completed.

However, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, said that Aloba “is delaying the DNA test”.

In the interview, Omowunmi stated that Aloba has been “relentless” in his efforts to “discredit Liam’s paternity,” going so far as to make “bizarre and hurtful” assertions about the youngster.

The businesswoman also accused Mohbad’s dad of delaying the DNA test despite her readiness to proceed.

She alleged that her father-in-law is attempting to control her late husband’s property and is bent on destroying her life.

“My father wanted to be in control of my husband’s property. Everything that belongs to my husband. He will go all out to destroy my life,” she added.

“He was the happiest during our marriage. A grandfather being mean to his grandchild. He said Liam had bowed legs. That they do not have such a child in their family.

“He said Liam’s face looked older than his face. He who is almost 50, 60 looks younger than Liam. He even went as far as saying my husband wanted to throw my baby into the Third Mainland Bridge.”

The widow alleged she has been receiving daily death threats via social media, which have left her feeling unsafe and compelled to speak out.

“We no longer feel safe. I usually get death threats almost every day in my DM. It has literally gotten to a point that it is either I speak up or I die inside,” she said.
