The well-known Nollywood actor Bimbo Manuel has claimed that no Nigerian actor could support a lavish lifestyle with just acting money.
In a recent episode of the TVC program Your View, Manuel made the assertion while denouncing some of his coworkers for pushing what he called “fake” lives.
The 66-year-old celebrity contended that the opulent homes and fancy automobiles that Nigerian celebrities frequently flaunt on social media do not accurately depict the financial realities of the business.
“The actors you see flaunting Range Rovers and mansions in Ikoyi are living fake lives,” Manuel said. “No actor in Nigeria would say he or she can buy a Range Rover from acting fees alone.”
Manuel, a prominent figure in Nollywood for decades, emphasized that he personally favours a modest lifestyle, choosing “a humble and realistic life” over flamboyance.
