Victor Osimhen was so touched by the love from Napoli fans that he became upset and got into a heated argument with them when trying to leave training.
Osimhen is fondly referred to as the prince of Naples after helping the club to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season; the last was won by Diego Maradona in the 1989/90 season.
In the Italian league, he also overtook and broke George Weah’s mark for the highest-scoring African football game. The championship winner reached 50 while the Ballon d’Or winner only managed to score 46.
In a video shared on Twitter by Eurofoot, the 24-year-old is seen attempting to leave the training grounds in his car when he is surrounded by fans who want their photos and signatures.
