Why I prefer fake bracelets, wristwatches – Tyrese Gibson

Popular US actor and musician Tyrese Gibson has admitted that despite his wealth, he prefers fake bracelets and wristwatches.

Tyrese revealed in a recent interview with Breakfast Club Power 105.1FM that he exclusively wears imitation bling.

Tyrese simply said, “No,” in response to co-host Charlamagne’s question on whether or not his earrings were real.

The “Fast and Furious” actor disclosed that he once spent a fortune on opulent things that he either lost or had stolen.

The 45-year-old actor also stressed that pricey stuff lost can cause unnecessary anguish. He related a personal story about losing $250,000 worth of earrings to illustrate the financial and psychological consequences of his recklessness.

“If it all ends for me tomorrow, I never sold you on fake. None of this jewellery on me is real. Do not love me because of no diamonds. This bracelet looks real but it is $23 on Amazon. Nothing. Hear me out. It does not look fake right? The reality is reality. This sh*t is cunning. It is all fake. It is all superficial. It is nothing,” he said.

“You know why it is not real? Because I have lost so much of this shit. I done spent half a million dollars on a fucking watch. Call Jacob The Jeweler, ni**a. Call all of them. All the most famous, popular jewelers online, they all got my black Centurion (American Express card). That thing goes through. I am good.

“I do not lose no sleep over trying to win the popularity contest showing up with all this jewelry that I am going to leave on the nightstand and have a housekeeper that says, ‘I don’t know!’ (laughs). I am sure you do not know where $250,000 earrings is at! I am sure you do not know. That motherf*cker would retire two weeks later.

“I have never tried to win a popularity contest. And if I did, I have the contact of every celebrity, director, actor, rapper, you name it, they are all on my phone. I could be as hot as I wanna be.”
