Renowned chef Hilda Baci has expressed her opinion on the ongoing debate between Ghanaian and Nigerian Jollof rice.
Baci contends that Nigerian Jollof stands out as the superior version, citing its exceptional flavor profile.
The former Guinness World Record holder shared this perspective during a conversation on the latest episode of the 90s Baby Show.
Hilda said, “Nigerian jollof is actually better than Ghanaian jollof.”
“I’ve been to Ghana and I’ve eaten their jollof. I’ve done a jollof competition with a Ghanaian chef who made his best representation of Ghanaian jollof and I’ve seen the recipes.”
“But with Nigerian jollof, Nigerians don’t play about flavor.”
Hilda Baci emerged victorious in the Jollof Face-off Competition in 2021, defeating Ghana’s Leslie Kumordzie. She was awarded a prize of $5,000 for her achievement.
