Wumi Toriola’s Queen Lateefah closes cinema run with ₦365.4m gross, sets seven box office records

Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola broke seven box office records with her first movie, Queen Lateefah, marking a stunning cinematic debut.

Toriola took to Instagram to celebrate the film’s achievements, listing its record-breaking milestones. Among the accolades, ‘Queen Lateefah’ is now recognized as the Highest Grossing Nollywood Release for a Non-Festive Period, Highest Opening Weekend for a Non-Holiday Season, 7th Highest Grossing Nollywood Film of All Time, and Highest Grossing September Release of All Time, among others.

The film grossed ₦365.4 million, breaking records in the Nollywood history.

In her message to fans, Wumi Toriola expressed deep gratitude for the support that propelled the movie to success. She wrote:
