Yamal under fire for allegedly hiring people with dwarfism for his birthday entertainment
The Spanish Government has called for an investigation into Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal’s controversial 18th birthday celebration, following allegations that “dwarfs were exploited” and “women with specific breast measurements were paid to attend.”
According to social media model Claudio Calvo, the Barcelona prodigy allegedly arranged for 12 women with a “certain breast size” to be present at the mafia-themed party. In response to public outrage, the government is pushing for a thorough probe and a potential fine over the alleged mistreatment of individuals with dwarfism for entertainment purposes.
Yamal marked his 18th birthday on July 13, with approximately 200 guests in attendance, including family, friends, and teammates.
Previously, the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) threatened legal action and strongly condemned the event. The Spanish government has since joined in demanding accountability for what it describes as a discriminatory display.
According to Marca, Yamal may face a fine of up to £867,000. The General Director of Disability, Jesús Martín, urged ministers to approve a formal inquiry into the matter.
He stated, “We are concerned that people with money, people with power, believe themselves to be unpunished. The law is for everyone, for the humble and for the powerful.” Martín also voiced concern about the potential influence such conduct might have on Yamal’s young fanbase.
In an official statement, ADEE declared: “The ADEE, a member organisation of the Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities, condemns and publicly denounces the hiring of people with dwarfism as part of the entertainment at the recent 18th birthday party of soccer player Lamine Yamal.”
They added, “The Association announces that it will take legal and social action to safeguard the dignity of people with disabilities, considering that these actions violate not only current legislation but also the fundamental ethical values of a society that seeks to be egalitarian and respectful.”
