Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September.

The City forward delivered a standout performance throughout the month, netting five goals in the league and adding an assist to his tally.

He kicked off September in style, scoring a brilliant brace that powered Pep Guardiola’s team to a commanding 3-0 victory over Manchester United at the Etihad.

The 25-year-old continued his lethal form by firing in a precise finish at the Emirates, earning City a 1-1 draw against Arsenal.

The Norwegian forward closed out the month with another impressive display, bagging a late double in City’s dominant 5-1 win over Burnley at the Etihad.

That brace increased his total to 133 goals for City, securing him a spot in the club’s all-time top 10 goal scorers.

It also elevated him to 93 Premier League goals, making him the highest-scoring Norwegian in the history of England’s top division.

“I’m really happy to win this award for a fourth time. It always means a lot, so thank you to everyone who voted for me. I also want to thank my teammates, the coaches and all the staff — we do everything together,” said Haaland.

“September was an important month for us as a team. We played some really good football, stayed unbeaten, and got important wins for our fans. I’m happy I could help the team with goals and performances.

“Now we just keep going — keep working hard every day, because there’s a tough schedule after the international break. Hopefully we can keep the same level and win even more games.”

Haaland beat competition from Daichi Kamada of Crystal Palace, Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh, Sunderland’s Robin Roefs and Granit Xhaka, along with Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi to secure the honour.

Manchester City extends its congratulations to Erling on this latest achievement.
