The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the dismissal of 115 personnel as part of its ongoing internal reforms.

In a notice released on Tuesday, the security agency cautioned the public against conducting any official business with the dismissed officers on behalf of the service.

The DSS also published the names and photographs of the affected individuals on its official website.

“As part of the ongoing reforms in the Department of State Services (DSS), the public is hereby informed that a total of 115 personnel have been dismissed over a period,” the statement reads.

“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any official dealing with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service.”

According to the agency, the dismissals occurred between 2024 and 2025.

In October, the DSS had arrested two dismissed officers, Barry Donald and Victor Godwin, for allegedly using the agency’s name to defraud unsuspecting citizens.

Before their arrest, the DSS had warned Nigerians to avoid any dealings with the pair, linking them to fraudulent activities carried out under the service’s identity.
